Unsafe URL Nudge

Twitter launched an experiment to test a new type of nudge — one that would prompt people if they were about to share, like, or Retweet a link to a known harmful website. My approach to the content was to encourage people to take action (cancel the Tweet) while striking a balance between overly passive and overly judgy/condescending. To do this, I structured the content in the form of a question, which had proven to be an effective format that resonated with audiences during user testing.
