Leave This Conversation, a feature Twitter introduced to allow people to untag themselves from conversations they didn’t want to be in, was a major step forward for Twitter in the privacy and safety realm. The content for this feature also marked an important decision-making point in the terminology we used for when someone removed their mention (“untag”) and the language we used to describe the actions menu (“those three little dots on a Tweet”), setting a precedent for how we’d write about both moving forward.
